Calgary Kids

At the end of July we went to Calgary to visit Robert's #1 and #2 sons and families.

We went to Megan's Jazzercise recital and watched her perform and get her certificate.
We visited the Lougheed House, a historic home in Calgary.

The grandgirls at the house.

Some of us took a hike to Grassi Lakes.

Grandpa and Megan taking a break.

We all took an overnight road trip down to Waterton (in Alberta) and Glacier (in Montana) National Parks. It was beautiful.

Red Rock Canyon in Waterton.

A lake that I can't remember the name of in Waterton.

The Prince of Wales (I think?) Hotel in Waterton.

Hendry men.

The Hendry Clan.

The road to Glacier.

Glacier.

This meadow was full of wildflowers. The elevation here was over 6,000 ' roughly the same as Mt. Mitchell in the Blue Ridge, the highest peak east of the Mississippi.

Robert, Rob, Susan, Dave and Robbie hiked this trail to Hidden Lakes. It was too hot & sunny for me. I stayed behind with Sarah and Megan and we listened to a talk given by a park ranger.

Next time I go to Glacier I want to ride around in one of these. It looked like a lot of fun.

Our picnic lunch in the parking lot.

Back in Calgary at the Zoo with Megan & Robbie.

Who taught him to do that?

We stayed with Robert & Susan.

Robbie after eating Grandma's spaghetti. Did he hate it or does he want more? Looks like Grandpa after some meals I've cooked for him.
