The day after the birthday party I headed back up I-75 to the cabin. The following day my dear friend and former sister-in-law and Erin's aunt, Diane, lost her very brave 15 month battle with brain cancer. Robert & Erin drove up together from North Carolina and I met them in Grand Rapids for the funeral. It was very sad.
Erin came back to the cabin for a few days then drove back to NC, stopping for a night with Bill & Kent in Louisville.
Erin and I had a quick Heine at Talley's.
