IF IT'S FRIDAY, WE'RE GETTING HAMMERED

(with snow.)
Yes, for the 3rd Friday in a row we are snowed-in here in Western North Carolina. This one caught everyone off guard. The snow was supposed to hit further south and we were only going to get a dusting. Surprise! It wasn't a lot of snow this time but enough to make the roads very slippery during rush hour. Our neighbor, George, was coming home from town at about 6:00 and couldn't make it up the road past the gazebo. He said there were accidents and cars off the road all the way down Highway 9 (which, if you've driven Highway 9 you know it's scary on a GOOD day.) Robert went to his rescue and picked him up and drove him home. On the way back Robert rescued another neighbor who couldn't make it up the mountain. I was thinking of tying a keg around his neck like a St. Bernard.
Saturday morning the roads were still covered with snow. Erin was going to drive up for the night but we told her to stay home. Later that afternoon the roads cleared and she ended up coming afterall. We had our surf & turf dinner that night. It was the best Valentine's Day ever!

Sunday after breakfast we went for a walk before Erin had to go back to Greenville.

She got a little blurry.

We built a snow woman along the road. On the way back I noticed her arm had fallen off and when I tried to put it back on she fell over and broke. I ruin everything!

Yikes!
We ran into this skunk on the way home.
