Trailblazers

The morning of the ice we met at 10:00 with other Creston people to clear one of the hiking trails. Gary, the groundskeeper, had his ATV with chainsaws strapped to it, Robert (in his spacesuit) was armed with his "whipper-snipper" and the rest of us had a machete, loppers and pruners. We set off down the Falls Trail clearing back over-growth and fallen trees as we hiked. It turned out to be a nice day and we hiked for 3 hours crossing 3 creeks along the way. That night there was a pot-luck dinner at the community center. We had 24 property owners there. It was fun but us bushwackers were tired.

A bear ate the trail sign.

I had to walk on this log to get back to the parking area.
