Catawba Falls Hike

We came back from Greenville Saturday morning and went on a hike to Catawba Falls. In the past the falls were only reachable by hiking through the Pisgah Forest. It's about a 2 hour difficult hike from Creston. In the last year or so a trail opened up from Old Fort, coming in from the north. We went with Erin, Cheri, Amy and Dick & Carol (and 2 dogs), another couple from Creston. It was a beautiful hike and it took about an hour to reach the falls. We had to cross 3 creeks along the way. Cheri was my Indian Scout and guided me at the crossings.

Carol found an easier(?) way across.
