We had a nice night at John & Lou's. Skeeter let us sleep with him in his room. Skeeter is Bizarro Charlie. He's a big, pure white cat. He is very lovable.
Saturday we headed for Big Rapids to spend the Superbowl Holiday with Sue & Roger. First, we had to stop at the Scottish bakery for the traditional meat pies for the guys for the Superbowl. Robert also snuck in some pork rolls. Nancy was already at their house when we got there but Don had to work so wasn't able to join us or eat the extra pork rolls. Nancy and I made an interesting discovery. The Roger/M&M look-alikes. It's hard to tell from this picture but if you drew a big M on Roger's forehead you'd see the resemblance. Sue & Roger prepared a surf & turf dinner for us and their friend, Denise, joined us. We had a few laughs, a few pants were peed in and us girls stayed up until 4 AM catching up. Good thing we did because Nancy got a call and had to leave first thing Sunday morning for a family emergency. Sunday, Sue and I layed around all day in anticipation of the Superbowl. Or maybe it was because of the mimosas. Who cares. The guys went out and HAD to get a roast to cook on the spit because, "It's tradition." Yeah, like we didn't have enough food already. Sue had bought enough food for an army. We ate & drank wine all through the game and I actually paid attention - to the last 2 minutes. I think that was the first time I sat through a Superbowl game. Somehow I don't feel my life has changed any. Robert & I had to get out of there early Monday morning to catch a 1:39 flight from Metro. Fortunately, we didn't run into any wintery weather and made it in plenty of time to turn in the rental car, eat lunch and get our flight.
