Sliding Rock

We went to Sliding Rock in the Pisgah National Forest. Only the brave went down the rock (me, Rob and Megan.)

We went to the Asheville Arboretum to catch salamanders, the Biltmore Estate and just hung around the house with bowls on our heads.

Giant Pig

Well, we finally got the scoop on the Giant Pig. There is not ONE Giant Pig, but TWO. They were rescued as babies when they fell off a slaughter truck. Fortunately, they were rescued by vegetarians. There are a lot of other animals at the shelter including some very cute pot-bellied pigs.

Grandfather Mountain

We took a drive up the Parkway to Grandfather Mountain and crossed the Mile-High Swinging Bridge.

Mellow Mushroom

We had lunch at the Mellow Mushroom in downtown Asheville and then hung around at our house. It proved to be too much for some.
